My first entry

As this is my first blog ever and my very first page I thought I would start by saying a little about my self.

My name is Mike (obviously), im a photographer (again obvious). Im a father of two and have a lovely partner who has supported me through the tough years.

I have had my hand in many trades from a mechanic to a security guard which I think has built me as a person and has helped me understand people more and see them in a different light.

This is sounding too much like a C.V now lol.

Photography

I have been a photographer for about 3 years now but i have been taking photos all my life, ever since i could hold a camera. It's was always a hobby of mine. I have always loved studding photos and trying to dissect them and how i could make them better.

The first DSLR I owned was a Canon 400D, which was an ok camera, I learnt a lot from it and have had some great photos.(above F1 photo taken with Canon 400D). I used it for sports photography and portrait work. (mainly my kids)

After a time with the Canon I decided it was time for a change and it was then I saw a video on youtube.com that Chase Jarvis was advertising / Testing. The Nikon D90. I absolute love this camera and I still use it today. The 12mp sensor is by far the best I had seen at that time and having a lot of luck and some good friends I got to test the hell out of it. I have been recently using the Nikon for Portrait work and some glamour work.
